Description

Throughout history, on numerous occasions, those people who presented any symptoms of “weakness” or a certain dependency have been left unattended. However, currently, the presence of professionals who know how to help in the socio-health field at home to people with special physical, mental and social health needs is essential, applying the most appropriate strategies and procedures to maintain and improve their personal autonomy and their relationships with the environment. Thus, this course will try to provide the necessary knowledge to develop activities related to the management and operation of the cohabitation unit.

Job opportunities

In general, you may carry out your activity in the organization, execution and control of direct social-health care activities for people and their environment at home. Specifically, you may be hired by: Public Administrations, mainly municipal and regional, in charge of the management and provision of home care services for dependent people.* Private entities, with or without profit motive, whether they offer direct services to the user, or if they are responsible for the management of publicly owned home care services or programs.* As a self-employed person, offering their services directly to demanding cohabitation units or creating their own home services company, associated with other technicians.
