The first years of life are, without a doubt, the most influential period, since it is then when the foundations of personality and feelings are forged and a whole series of dizzying physiological and cognitive changes occur. In the development of all these capacities, playful activity plays a crucial role; play is, in fact, an activity inherent to human nature and fundamental for the correct progression of the evolutionary course. Given the pedagogical relevance of games and toys at this stage, educators must know how to select them and use them in the most convenient way to extract all their didactic value from them. This course will provide the student with the skills and knowledge necessary to promote and implement play situations as the axis of child activity and development.

It carries out its activity in companies or institutions such as: nursery schools, educational centers, children's leisure centers, school farms, protected minors' centers, hospital classrooms, play centers, libraries. Its activity is located in the areas of design, programming, development and evaluation of teaching-learning activities and formal and non-formal education activities. It is fundamentally located in the functions of programming, organization, development and evaluation of the different intervention proposals. This training is adjusted to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1030_3 Children's Play and its Methodology, certifying that they have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route through which they will opt for the obtaining the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
