In the field of security and environment, it is necessary to know the different fields of canine training in security and civil protection operations, within the professional area of security and prevention. Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge for searching and detecting odorous substances with dogs. Within the general competence to instruct the dog in defense and surveillance skills, detection, search, rescue and rescue of victims, search and detection of odorous substances, in support operations for entities associated with security and/or civil protection, as well as, perform hygienic care and provide first aid, taking into account occupational risks and animal welfare.
