Currently, the growing demands of the labor market, the importance of professional performance in our lives and the real difficulty in accessing and maintaining a job, make career guidance, with all the socio-labor intervention strategies, take on special relevance today. The gap that many people at risk of exclusion encounter in terms of training and work practice can be bridged through advice and guidance from experts on the subject. In this sense, the teacher can do a great job, investigating the interests, aspirations and expectations of their students, and guiding them towards the path that best suits their abilities, potential and desires. This course offers the student training in counseling intervention aimed at both social integration and pedagogical aspects related to job search, in order to provide complete job guidance to the user.

- Know a global vision of vocational guidance and employment - Assimilate the importance of the interconnection between the state public employment service and the public employment services of the autonomous communities: SISPE - Have a global vision of vocational guidance projects and programs for employment, as well as the skills to be developed in both job seekers and vocational guidance professionals. - Inform about the necessary instruments to adequately manage remote guidance tools for those job seekers who, due to their demographic, social, or geographical characteristics, do not wish or cannot access a face-to-face job guidance process. - Propose a specific framework on general knowledge in professional guidance and employment for groups at risk of exclusion: women, young people, ethnic minorities, immigrants, etc. - Inform about the most appropriate professional guidance models for intervening with groups at risk, in particular, the one that has been most effective for the integration of these groups: The person-centered model. - Assimilate the need for labor support and accompaniment towards integration as an essential process with groups at risk of exclusion. - Know how to apply the most effective techniques, tools and complementary resources to carry out effective orientation processes towards employment in vulnerable groups. - Train in the application of intervention techniques and methods that allow programming, implementing and evaluating psychosocial actions, using all knowledge, skills, attitudes, technologies and resources appropriate to facilitate the process of social inclusion for groups at risk. - Provide all the knowledge related to the professional profile of the career guidance technician, from an approach to the reference legislation and placing his figure at the heart of the labor market, describe the broad lines that determine his identity and outline the principles and areas of his guidance intervention. - Facilitate the tools for the application of work environment analysis methods and the evaluation of the user's potential, aspirations and personal needs. - Present the guidelines for the design of training and work itineraries adapted to the specific characteristics of the user and in accordance with the opportunities offered by the context.
