This course explores the different parts of plants used in herbalism, such as leaves, flowers, stems and roots, and explains proper harvesting and storage methods. Next, the properties and uses of a wide variety of medicinal plants are studied. You will learn about the healing properties of each plant, its active components and the conditions for which they are used. This training center has training courses endorsed by APENB, offering the student the guarantee that the training meets all the standards of hours, syllabus, professional skills and other elements required in the natural and parasanitary therapies sector.

The professional opportunities of this Herbal Assistant Course are to assist in herbal shops, natural product stores or establishments specialized in herbal medicine, providing advice to clients and helping to find the right products for their needs. You can also work in spa centers or holistic clinics.

With this Herbal Assistant Course, it prepares you to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the field of herbal medicine and herbalism. This course is aimed especially at people related to the world of natural health, although it is a qualification within the University's own teachings that does not qualify for professional practice, therefore according to article 37.7 of Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28, which establishes the organization of university teachings and the quality assurance procedure for the qualifications included within the own teachings that do not require prior university qualification for access to them, the purpose of the same is the expansion and updating of knowledge, competencies and training or professional skills that contribute to a better job insertion of citizens without a university degree, so it will be open to anyone without a university health access qualification who is interested in pursuing it. As there is no legal regulation, having training with guarantees from the most important association in the sector, so anyone who wants to dedicate themselves professionally in the natural or parasanitary therapies sector needs this seal to accredit their training. This training is aimed at wellness centers and herbalists, professionals in the sector who practice without support, future therapists and anyone interested.
