The area of English is important in Primary and Compulsory Secondary Education for three fundamental reasons, because there is currently a great social demand in Spain for students to develop communicative competence in English that allows them to enter the world of work, because the study of a foreign language develops a richer vision of reality, which favors understanding and respect for other cultures and finally, because knowledge of the functional and structural characteristics of the English language helps us understand our own language and contributes to personal cognitive development. Through this Intensive English B2 Course + Specialization in Teaching English for Teachers and Professors, the student will obtain the practical theoretical base necessary to function effectively in this language, in addition to reinforcing work expectations by communicating fluently in English.

What does it prepare you for?

This B2 English Course prepares you to acquire the necessary knowledge to obtain the official European Council qualification: B2. By completing this Upper Intermediate Level English Course you accredit mastery of a Foreign Language equivalent to Level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages, in accordance with Recommendation No. R(98) 6 of the Committee of Ministers of Member States of October 17, 2000.

- Understand frequently used phrases and expressions related to areas of experience that are especially relevant to you (basic information about yourself and your family, shopping, places of interest, occupations, etc.). - Communicate when carrying out simple, everyday tasks that do not require more than simple and direct exchanges of information on issues that are familiar or common. - Describe in simple terms aspects of your past and your environment as well as issues related to your immediate needs. - Study and understand an example of a Didactic Unit for Primary English Teachers. - Study and understand an example of a Didactic Unit for Secondary English Teachers. - Develop good grammar practice related to passive sentences, phrasal verbs and question tags. - Use vocabulary related to politics, the media, working conditions and other topics of daily interest, until covering 800 new words or expressions. - Improve and practice the correct pronunciation of vowels and consonants, as well as recognize the main signs of phonetic transcription. - Reflect and give your opinion on some topics of interest, such as the environment, the economy or transportation. Express your ideas and make convincing reasoning in a foreign language.
