Agriculture, along with construction and mining, constitutes one of the sectors that favors the most professional risks, due to the use of various machinery and phytosanitary products. Traditionally, it has been believed that rural work was free of risks and dangers, but the statistics of workplace accidents in the sector demonstrate the opposite. The great variety of jobs carried out in agriculture, the harsh conditions in which they are carried out and the often lack of knowledge about the risks involved in certain machines, substances or ways of carrying out certain jobs, favor it being considered one of the activities that causes the most risks. This course highlights the need to include the prevention of occupational risks in this work sector, with the aim of training students in the most common risks in agriculture, with the aim of establishing effective prevention plans and informing workers of the risks involved in this type of work.
