The increase in social demand for urgent medical assistance signals an upward evolution of transportation services with basic and/or advanced life support equipment. Furthermore, in the case of collective emergency situations such as in the field of international cooperation in response to disasters, the logistical capabilities of the intervention teams must be enhanced so that they can carry out their activities in the area with greater autonomy. This course provides knowledge about medical transport vehicles, the basis of pre-hospital urgent care, the development of logistics, the recognition of patient needs and the application of life support techniques, to provide quick, effective and quality solutions in assisting victims and society in general in the context of health emergencies.

What does it prepare you for?

The purpose of this course is to provide the student with the knowledge to practice in the public or private health sector, related to the transfer of patients or victims and the provision of initial health and psychological care, with collaboration in the preparation and development of health logistics in the event of collective emergencies or catastrophes, as well as participating in the preparation of emergency plans and foreseeable risk devices in the field of Civil Protection. This course complies with the provisions of Royal Decree 1397/2007, which establishes the title of Technician in Health Emergencies and establishes its minimum teachings. In addition, this training conforms to the training itinerary of the Professional Certificate SANT0208 Health Transport and SANT0108 Health Care for Multiple Victims and Catastrophes. It is a training aimed at the accreditation of professional skills, therefore if you complete this training and do internships or have experience, you will be able to take the call for accreditation of skills and obtain the Professional Certificate. Likewise, and if you wish, you will also be able to take the free vocational training tests for which this training prepares you.

Any professional in the health or safety field who wants to acquire knowledge regarding management and action in disaster situations and accidents with multiple victims, such as health transport professionals, doctors, nurses, civil protection agents, etc.

- Teach the basics of mechanics, maintenance and use of the medical vehicle. - Provide the student with the necessary knowledge to apply basic life support techniques and advanced life support support. - Train the student to collaborate in the development of emergency and foreseeable risk plans. - Teach the fundamentals of logistics and healthcare in emergency situations, accidents with multiple victims and catastrophes. - Prepare the student to provide support and psychological care to victims and those affected in crisis situations.
