Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge to prevent and control health protection measures and pathologies in the aquaculture hatchery.

Objectives

- Select prophylaxis measures in relation to the system, facility and crop species, assessing the risks of pathology transmission. - Establish a vaccination program based on the crop species and the pathologies susceptible to treatment. - Select prevention treatments other than vaccines depending on the species and cultivation phase. - Relate pathological processes to the most common diseases, taking into account the symptoms. - Assess microbiological and parasitological analyzes considering microscopic and macroscopic identification techniques. - Establish a program for taking samples and applying treatments in the different phases of a hatchery for the health control of crops.

Career opportunities

He carries out his activity in the areas of plankton culture, reproduction, larval and post-larvae culture, seeds or fry, as a self-employed or employed worker, in SMEs, large companies, whether public or private in nature, research centers and shellfish harvester associations and aquariums. Coordinates those responsible for the production areas.

What it prepares you for

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0742_3 Prevention and Control of Pathologies in Aquaculture Hatcheries, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Communities.
