- Develop the service process for all types of drinks at the bar and table. - Define characteristics of the genres necessary for the preparation, presentation and service of beverages other than wines. - Use equipment, machines, supplies and tools necessary for the preparation and conservation of beverages other than wines. - Characterize the most significant alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, other than wines. - Analyze and develop the processes of preparation, presentation and conservation of the most significant alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, other than wines. - Practice possible variations in the preparation of drinks, testing techniques, combinations or alternatives of ingredients and forms of presentation and decoration. - Define menus of drinks other than wines that are attractive to potential clientele and favor the achievement of the establishment's sales objectives.

Career opportunities

They carry out their activity in small-sized bars-cafes, often family-run, and may be self-employed or employed. He also carries out his professional activity in large and medium-sized catering companies, bars and cafes in the public or private sector. In this case, he or she performs his or her duties under the supervision of the head or second head of the restaurant or room, or equivalent hierarchical superior.
