- Analyze cartographic resources and sources, both in traditional physical media and in digital media adapted to new technologies, and identify the characteristics, relief and nature of the terrain represented and know the territories and possibilities of transit on foot, especially in low and medium mountain terrain - Analyze the topographic, geological and biological characteristics of a given area and identify the degree of vulnerability of its natural environment based on its classification as a protected or unprotected space, to relate the critical aspects of deterioration of said environment with the practice of activities sports-recreational. - Interpret meteorological information to predict climatic conditions and their possible evolution, from sources of information of different natures adapted to new technologies or derived from direct observation of the natural environment, and anticipate adverse situations that may occur by taking the necessary measures to adapt the sports-recreational activity, canceling it if necessary. - Apply orientation techniques in the natural environment of traditional use, specific to new technologies or derived from the interpretation of fortune resources, using, in accordance with the available means and resources, instruments, equipment, cartographic sources and/or natural clues. - Identify, assign the specific use and maintain the sports equipment for progression and safety, and the individual and collective equipment necessary for progression through ravines, in optimal conditions of use, applying personal and environmental safety and prevention criteria at all times. - Repair and adapt with fortunate means sports materials and resources for progression and overnight stays in environments close to the ravines to be crossed, applying environmental criteria at all times. - Move through different types of terrain applying autonomous locomotion techniques adapted to the orography of the terrain, to one's own anthropometric characteristics, to the level of physical condition one possesses, to the level of difficulty of the itinerary and to the transportation of materials. - They will spend the night in the natural environment applying camping and bivouac techniques, in accordance with criteria of efficiency, comfort and environmental protection. - Move through ravines of all types, with or without an active water channel, selecting the techniques and materials for progression based on morphology, geological features, intensity of flow and equipment of the facilities. - Move through ravines with active water channels, selecting progression techniques based on the hydrological phenomena that occur due to the morphology and geological features of the channel, applying safety criteria based on the water flow. - Use sports equipment for canyoning progression to overcome the difficulties of the ravine, avoiding injuries or accidents, according to criteria of type and degree of difficulty, preserving its condition and functioning. - Install and restore fixed or mobile anchors using equipment techniques for canyoning installations, adjusting to safety and environmental protection criteria.
He develops his professional activity in the field of sports-recreational activities in nature and in active, sports or adventure tourism, in the areas of programming, organization, development, monitoring and evaluation of canyon itineraries for all types of users. The professional activity is carried out both independently and under contract, in the public sphere, whether general, regional or local administrations, and in the private sphere, with private clients and in large, medium and small companies, such as: Active leisure, sports or adventure companies. Tourism companies: hotels, camping, hostels, rural houses. Travel agencies. Ski resorts with a complementary offer of off-season activities. Mountain refuges and lodges. Schools and extracurricular activity service companies. Colony houses, school farms, camps. Sports federations and sports and social clubs. Guide companies. Natural park management companies. This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1077_2 Progression techniques in dry or aquatic ravines, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Communities. Autonomous, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
