Objectives

The objectives to be achieved by carrying out this Home Help Course are the following: - Describe the main characteristics and care needs of dependent people and their environment, determining the attitudes and values that the direct care professional and the relationships with dependent people and their environment must manifest. - Know and analyze the characteristics and psychosocial needs of dependent people, determining the attitudes and values that the professional providing direct care to dependent people and their environment must express. - Apply psychosocial support strategies adapted to the development of the activities planned in an established program. - Prepare the work plan at home, adapting the intervention actions to the needs of the coexistence unit. - Apply administration and control procedures for household expenses, prioritizing and rationalizing them, based on the income and needs of each member of the cohabitation unit. - Apply basic cooking techniques to prepare menus, based on the characteristics of the members of the family unit. - Train the student to perform the functions of caregiver at home, and to plan and coordinate care cases with the relevant team of professionals in each case, being able to identify the needs of food, hygiene and social resources, etc., of the person assisted. -Master all professional techniques to help families in general and any person in particular in the field of Home Help.

In general, you may carry out your activity in the organization, execution and control of direct social-health care activities for people and their environment at home. In general, you may carry out your activity in the organization, execution and control of direct social-health care activities for people and their environment at home. Specifically, you may be hired by: Public Administrations, mainly municipal and regional, in charge of the management and provision of home care services for dependent people.* Private entities, with or without profit motive, whether they offer direct services to the user, or if they are responsible for the management of publicly owned home care services or programs.* As a self-employed person, offering their services directly to demanding cohabitation units or creating their own home services company, associated with other technicians.

What it prepares you for

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Professional Certificate SSCS0108 Social and Health Care for People at Home, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at accrediting the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities. as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 1224/2009 on the recognition of professional skills acquired through work experience). It also qualifies you to perform Home Help Assistant functions in both Private Companies and Public Organizations.
