What it prepares you for

This course will provide the student with the necessary knowledge to carry out both entertainment activities and physical activity exercises with the elderly sector with the aim of guaranteeing their well-being and improving their quality of life. This course accredits you to work as a Gerontogymnasia Monitor. In addition, this course will train the student to organize sociocultural animation activities, both in the urban environment and in nature.

This course is aimed at all those people who want to direct their future work towards the function of animation and physical activity monitor with older people. Thus, as for all those people who want to expand their professional knowledge in this field.

Double Qualification: - Qualification of Monitor of Recreational Physical Activities for the Elderly issued by EDUSPORT, a center specialized in sports training and Accredited by the SPANISH FITNESS FEDERATION (FEF) to which you will be able to access as a Federated person receiving a title in Animation and physical activity with older people with a Federated Animation and physical activity with older people card. Furthermore, once the training is completed, the student It will become part of the Spanish Registry of Exercise Professionals (ESREPs) that includes exercise professionals, establishing a QUALITY STANDARD and a PROFESSIONAL REGISTER to guarantee safe and effective advice to clients using fitness facilities by QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALS. - University Degree in Sociocultural Monitor-Animator from the ANTONIO DE NEBRIJA UNIVERSITY with 5 ECTS University Credits. Course counted as merits for competitive examinations for access to the public teaching function in all CCs. AA., according to R.D. 276/2007 of February 23 (BOE 2/3/2007). This is carried out within the permanent training plan for teachers of the Antonio de Nebrija University.
