- Analyze the prevention and security measures regarding the actions of the manipulation of facilities and equipment, contained in a generic security plan for the sector. - Apply a security plan analyzing the company's prevention, security and environmental protection measures. - Describe the work activities and environmental conditions in underground excavations, especially identifying the risks and safety measures to be adopted. - Use the appropriate personal protective equipment for the different tasks in underground excavation, identifying the different risks of the workplace. - Apply the established procedures to confirm that the safety conditions of the work (gases, support and others) are within the permitted limits to carry out the drilling safely and effectively in accordance with current regulations. - Distinguish the different types of explosives and initiation systems used in underground blasting, relating them to the different types of blasting and the different applications, and indicating the general conditions for their handling, as established by current regulations. - Apply the established procedures to transport, handle and store explosives, initiation systems and accessories, in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the procedures established in underground blasting to install the firing line on the electrical poles, check its continuity and electrical insulation in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the established procedures to carry out, in underground blasting, the preparation of the cartridge-bait, the loading, the retacking and the connections of the initiation systems following current safety standards. - Apply the established procedures to trigger underground blasting in safe conditions, in accordance with current regulations. - Apply the different procedures to destroy explosives and initiation systems following internal security provisions. - Apply the different methods established to eliminate failed holes, in accordance with current regulations. - Organize the blasting work and take responsibility for the work carried out and the fulfillment of the established objectives, within the framework of the established work instructions and procedures.
