- Control the management, location and transportation of stallions, breeding mares and lactating foals to provide them with adequate well-being and obtain optimal performance within the farm. - Coordinate the human resources necessary in activities with stallions, breeding mares and lactating foals to guarantee adequate performance, based on the established objectives and activities - Develop a mating plan adapted to the farm's resources, supervising its correct application and making the relevant records throughout the reproductive process. - Use different methods to detect and confirm heat in breeding mares in order to ensure the ideal mating time. - Use the different methods for the extraction, preparation, conservation and transportation of the seminal doses to be used in mating by artificial insemination. - Use different mating methods for mares confirmed to be in heat (natural mating or artificial insemination), to achieve satisfactory results in the number of pregnant mares. - Supervise the actions carried out with breeding mares during their pregnancy in order to maximize the number of births. - Evaluate the precise actions and arrange the necessary means for the care of the mares during childbirth to ensure its normal development. - Control the necessary actions to be carried out with the mother mares and their foals during the lactation period, to ensure their well-being. - Supervise the behavioral patterns of the nursing foal and verify that the approach tasks by its caregivers are carried out at the appropriate time, manner and place. - Organize and supervise the distribution of food, supplements and food additives to stallions, breeding mares and lactating foals to satisfy their feeding needs in each of the production phases. - Supervise the necessary sanitary measures and specific hygienic care to be carried out on stallions, breeding mares and lactating foals to keep them in an optimal state of health.
