Objectives

- Apply basic identification and evaluation techniques of occupational and environmental risks linked to working conditions that allow the assessment of risk factors in the different production processes of paper, cardboard and other graphic media. - Assess the requirements that equipment, machines and installations must meet in processing workshops, analyzing safety measures in accordance with current regulations on safety and environmental protection. - Analyze the work procedures in the different processes of processing paper, cardboard and other graphic media, establishing the appropriate preventive and corrective measures and the necessary personal protective equipment. - Interpret occupational risk prevention and environmental protection plans of companies in the printing industry. Evaluating its content and proposing improvements and updates to it. - Determine effective preventive actions linked to order, cleaning, signage and general maintenance in the processes of the printing industry. - Relate the evaluation and control actions of general and specific risks of the printing industry process with preventive measures established in prevention plans and in the applicable regulations. - Apply procedures for action in emergency situations, participating in evacuation tasks and assisting in first aid in the event of an accident, according to the indications of given self-protection plans. - Analyze the requirements for correct environmental management in companies in the graphic, paper, cardboard and other graphic media industries, assessing the applicable environmental regulations. - Channel information regarding training needs related to the proposal for improvement and prevention of accidents and incidents to the company's prevention services, following established procedures.

Career opportunities

He develops his professional activity in the graphic industry, in private or public companies that process paper, cardboard and other graphic media. In small, medium or large companies, with very diverse organizational/technological levels. He joins a work team where he develops individual and team tasks. He carries out his work as an independent technician or as a middle manager who organizes and directs the work of a technical team under his charge, assuming collaboration functions in safety management and environmental prevention, being able to perform, among them, basic level occupational risk prevention. Reports hierarchically to the production director and/or the company manager.

What it prepares you for

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1683_3 Management of Safety and Environmental Protection in Processing Processes, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
