Objectives

The main objectives of the course pack for special education teachers are, among others, the following: - Know the evolution of special education throughout history. - Know how special education is functionally organized. - Learn the different modalities of intervention in the early care of students with specific needs. - Intervene psychoeducatively with Special Education students. - Know the different tools that can be used for intervention in Special Education. - Know the scope of action, the target population and the main theoretical models in Early Care. - Learn the basic guidelines for diagnosis and intervention in children with developmental disorders from a broad and multidisciplinary perspective. - Detail the early signs of various disorders and difficulties in development to make early detection and more effective intervention possible. - Define the concept of disability and students with specific educational support needs (NEAE). - Describe the groups of students who have specific educational support needs: special educational needs, high abilities and late integration into the educational system. - Develop the principles and characteristics of attention to diversity in the educational system. - Know the process of detecting educational needs in students. - Plan the psychopedagogical intervention. - Describe the tools and coordination of the teaching team in psychopedagogical intervention.
