- Establish the basic equipment and instruments for performing a laparoscopy - Determine the complementary material, such as electrosurgery units, to perform a laparoscopy - Develop a training program for the acquisition of skills in laparoscopic surgery - Evaluate the different techniques that exist to perform a laparoscopic approach - Compile the different complications that may appear in the laparoscopic technique - Analyze the new perspectives in laparoscopic surgery, such as single-incision laparoscopy and NOTES. - Develop the indications, approach techniques and complications of thoracoscopy in small animals
Minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy and thoracoscopy in animals are in high demand and can be applied in sectors such as veterinary clinics, zoos, aquariums, animal reserves, rescue centers, animal production, food safety, public health, and education and research.
