- Introduce the concept of archeology and its scientific evolution throughout history as a discipline. - Know the basic aspects of classical archeology of Greece and Rome. - Study what are the steps to follow when carrying out an archaeological field investigation. - Delve into the archaeological laboratory analysis where archaeometry, paleoanthropological analysis and the study of artifacts are found. - Establish what the sources of knowledge are and how the archaeological record should be carried out. - Describe the general concepts of paleontology and differentiate between branches of knowledge related to it. - Define what a fossil is and how fossilization occurs. - Explain how chronology is approached in relation to paleontology, and how to identify the remains found in relation to the time and era that corresponds to them. - Describe the main characteristics of the eras currently described, identifying the most notable species that developed in each of them. - Know the large sites that have contributed a large number of specimens and information to paleontological knowledge. - Describe the basic concepts of paleontological prospecting, in relation to orientation in the terrain and the instruments to use for it. - Explain the relationship between cartography and paleontology, highlighting the practical application of one over the other. - Identify the steps to follow in a paleontological investigation, from the moment it is decided to look for remains until they are found. - Describe the basic knowledge necessary for the appraisal of a fossil specimen. - Identify and describe the main methods used in fossil falsification. - Know the concepts of archeology and archaeological assets. - Know archaeological raw materials. - Alter archaeological assets. - Carry out conservation and restoration treatments. - Treatment of materials in deposits and laboratories. - Know the basic concepts about cultural heritage. - Apply different types of conservation. - Know the adjustable aspects in conservation. - Acquire the types of assets in national and international regulations. - Carry out conservation in the different heritages such as archaeological, bibliographic, natural, etc. - Know the functions, procedures, techniques and instruments of judicial expertise. - Know the different types of Expertise that we can find. - Interpret the mediation system and its importance in the involvement of those affected. - Differentiate between the types of expert reports. - Know the process of preparing expert reports. - Analyze judicial evidence, from its concept to the practice of said evidence. - Analyze how to evaluate the expert evidence.

The main objective of Master in Archeology and Paleontology is to know the science of Archeology and Paleontology, and the working method when a site is detected and archaeological research is carried out. This Master in Archeology and Paleontology, to achieve this objective, provides knowledge about the introduction to archaeology, field archaeology, the archaeological laboratory analysis process and its registration. Furthermore this Master in Archeology and Paleontology prepares you to learn how life developed millions of years ago, from the time the Earth was formed to the present day. It also prepares you to learn about the different species of living beings that have populated the planet over the years and their generations and extinctions. In addition, it prepares you to carry out a paleontological investigation, from deciding the place to explore until the fossil remains are found, and how to orient yourself in the terrain to locate them.
