Geriatric residence ruling course (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

The National Unit Care System is demanding a significant number of professionals to meet the needs of residences, day centers,/ night, home help services and the training of relatives who will take care of and attend to people in a situation of dependency. Aimed at people who want or work in social services centers and need quality training. This course offers training in a specific position to perform one of the main functions of organization and control in residences.

- Enter the basic notions about the current nursing situation. - Operating conditions in the residence, as well as specific notions of gerontology to acquire a better adaptation. - Learn to review and control the work performed by the people who are in charge. - Know the basic psychological aspects that occur during aging. - Know the most relevant nature and aspects of a residence to obtain global knowledge.

The Superior Course of Governments in residences of the elderly allows us to expand the necessary training to perform the position of ruling in the most appropriate way possible, since it teaches the main guidelines of action that must be followed and the most appropriate methods for the performance of the work. In short, the course will provide students with updated knowledge about the responsibilities involved in the rule of a nursing home to improve the tasks in the best possible way.

This Superior Course of Governments in residences of the elderly is directed all those who want to hold the position of ruling of residences of the elderly, as well as those who already work in that position and want to expand and update their knowledge about this work.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
