Objectives
- Acquire the necessary skills to apply actions related to the management of copyright contracting. - Identify and determine the conditions that must be presented for the contracting of originals of commissioned works, both individually and collectively, necessary for their edition. - Determine the regulations to follow and manage an application appropriate to the relationships established between the publishing sector and the different professionals, suppliers, service companies, organizations and institutions. - Analyze the relationships established between all the subjects that participate in the contracting of copyrights such as authors, producers, artists or management entities. - Be able to agree with the authors or representatives on the conditions for contracting the works, within the margins established by the publisher. - Select the works and proceed to contract the elements that will accompany said works, assessing factors such as their adaptation, suitability and cost. - Be able to apply different negotiation and communication strategies to achieve copyright contracting agreements, taking into account the factors, requirements and elements that intervene in it. - Acquire the necessary knowledge to agree with authors and specialized agencies on the contracting of images to include in a work, discussing and reaching an agreement in relation to the different points of the contract. - Provide a global vision of copyright and intellectual property at a national, European and international level, as well as the differences between legislation in different geographical areas.
Career opportunities
He develops his professional activity in public companies, whether local, regional or general state administration, in the area of graphic arts and design, as well as in private companies dedicated to the management of copyright in publishing projects, as well as the contracting of originals and negotiation in the publishing field. He is also trained to properly handle copyright legislation, according to the activity regulated by the corresponding regulations.

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0934_3 Copyright Contracting, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry itself. of Labor (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
