Objectives

- Analyze the behavior and physical characteristics of the dog. - Modify the dog's behavior. - Apply safety criteria for third parties and self-protection during the handling and training of dogs. - Develop the skills and attitudes of the helper and the dog. - Build and project the hunting instinct in its proper measure. - Build and project the defense instinct. - Build and project the dog's defensive skills. - Use a direct confrontation, without hesitation on the part of the dog towards the helper. - Use control of the dog after the release exercise at the same time that it monitors the helper in a lying position without any type of restraint during the search and driving operations. - Build and project the dog's defensive skills in order to protect its handler or driver without any type of restraint. - Demonstrate that after several threats from the helper the dog begins a confrontation. - Build and project the intensity of the search in open spaces with and without prior threats.

Career opportunities

He carries out his professional activity both on his own and as an employee, in the field of small, medium and large private companies, and private homes, as well as in public administrations and/or entities, related to security, defense and surveillance, detection, search, rescue and rescue of victims, search and detection of odorous substances, in support operations for entities associated with security and/or civil protection. Its activity, in general, is carried out autonomously, although it may depend, circumstantially, on a hierarchical superior.

This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF1756_3 Training of dogs for defense and surveillance, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as such as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
