Emergency airway management course (university degree + 4 ECTS credits)

Thanks to this emergency airway management course you will learn the fundamental principles to improve assistance and care for those patients who have problems related to spontaneous ventilation. Specifically, in this training you can have information related to the main techniques and therapies related to oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation and aerosoltherapy. In addition, you will know the main tools to evaluate and characterize the airway, together with the main measures to perform intubation in different clinical situations. You will also have a reminder about the main anatomical and physiological bases related to the respiratory system and the most common pathologies that can affect it.

- Learn to recognize the main anatomical parts of the respiratory system. - Identify the fundamental aspects of breathing physiology. - Know the most used and demanded tools for the exploration of the respiratory system. - Develop intervention protocols to make intubations in different clinical situations. - Recognize the main aspects of oxygen therapy, ventilation and aerosoltherapy.

The professional outputs of this emergency airway management course are: specialist doctors, emergency doctors, health emergency technicians, nurses, primary care staff, physiotherapists, TCAE, dentists and other health disciplines that work hand in hand with the emergency and emergencies service.

The present course of management of the airway in emergencies prepares to develop clinical care and care care in those patients who are developing respiratory disorders. This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
