MF1699_2 Course and preparation of wood and tools for the realization of a size of sculptural and decorative elements based on a predefined project

In the field of arts and crafts, it is necessary to know the different fields in the stature of decorative wood elements, within the professional area of traditional crafts. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to select and prepare the woods and tools to carry out the size of sculptural and decorative elements in wood.

The objectives that students will achieve with the realization of this course of decorative elements in wood are the following: - Apply wood selection procedures for the size of sculptoric and decorative elements in wood considering the dimensions, quality and physical and aesthetic properties of the same predefined in a project. - Apply wood machining techniques (sawn, brushing rewriting, molded and sanding among others) through the use of manual tools and/or conventional machinery for the elaboration of sculptural and decorative elements, from a project, with quality and environmental safety criteria - Apply wood preparation techniques, by means of quality and environmental quality and safety - Apply procedures for selecting machinery and manual cutting tools and auxiliary media from a plan to prepare sculptoric and decorative elements of wood stature - apply preventive, operational maintenance procedures and, where appropriate, corrective to the machinery and manual tools of cutting and auxiliary media with quality and environmental safety criteria

After carrying out this course of decorative elements in wood, develop your professional activity in companies and artisanal and artistic workshops. It works on projects related to the size of decorative elements in wood, based on the interpretation of the project, carrying out your work within the framework of the functions and objectives assigned by the top technician or workshop teacher.

This formation is adjusted to the training itinerary of the MF1699_2 selection and preparation of wood and tools for the realization of a size of sculptural and decorative elements based on a predefined project. It certifies you having overcome the different competition units included. And it is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the ordering of the System of Vocational Training the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course of decorative wood elements is aimed at professionals from the arts and crafts. More specifically, those linked to the size of decorative wood elements are directed. And in general to all those interested in acquiring knowledge to select and prepare the woods and tools to carry out the size of sculptural and decorative elements in wood.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
