In the maritime fishing field, it is necessary to know the different fields of aquaculture hatchery production, within the professional aquaculture area. Thus, this course aims to provide the necessary knowledge to reproduce and incubate aquaculture species.

- Verify that the facilities are prepared to carry out the acclimatization and conditioning of breeders, induction of laying and incubation in accordance with the company's protocols. - Develop the work program in accordance with the production plan, adjusting to the regulations on occupational risk prevention and environmental protection, and manage production data so that its subsequent analysis is facilitated. - Supervise and/or carry out the activities to obtain, acclimatize and condition reproducers in order to obtain clutches as required by the production plan. - Carry out and/or supervise the obtaining and selection of gametes and embryonated eggs or larvae to obtain viable individuals in accordance with the production plan. - Control the incubation of the clutches to obtain embryonated eggs and/or viable larvae, and condition them for their transfer and sowing or for their commercialization, following the established protocols. - Detect the existence of indicators of pathological problems in reproduction and incubation and supervise and/or carry out the necessary prevention and control measures according to the defined protocols, after communicating to their superiors.
He develops his professional activity as an employed worker, in the areas of reproduction, larval culture and culture of post-larvae, seeds or fry, in small, medium and large companies, whether public or private in nature, research centers and shellfish collectors' associations.
This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0285_2 Reproduction and Incubation of Aquaculture Species, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Communities. Autonomous, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
