What it prepares you for

The Open Pit Blasting course prepares you to develop key skills in the characterization and management of explosives, as well as in the implementation of initiation and transmission systems. You will learn to interpret firing plans and manage the safe transportation and storage of explosives. In addition, you will acquire skills in preparing the cartridge-bait, loading, reloading and firing. We will also teach you how to handle the elimination of failed holes and destroy explosives in poor condition, always prioritizing safety and minimizing risks. This course does not qualify for professional practice. This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0426_2 Open pit blasting, certifying that you have passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, a route through which you will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry itself. of Labor (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
