The color and images of a book, a poster, a brochure or a brochure is very important, since it represents the first impression we get of them, and what will lead us to be interested or not in delving into the information and content of said material. Therefore, it is essential that the companies in charge of the graphic design of these products know how to develop graphic projects based on their initial specifications. This is achieved by preparing sketches, selecting and adapting color, images and typographic fonts, creating graphic elements, models and final artwork, using computer tools, making budgets based on the characteristics of the project and verifying the quality of the finished product. With this course the recipient will be able to acquire knowledge about creative editing of images and design of graphic elements.

Objectives

- Determine the images to include in a graphic project, based on instructions given for its implementation. - Capture and edit selected images, adjusting technical parameters and maintaining calibration conditions and color profiles given for creation. - Reproduce color in the workflows to obtain the graphic product, maintaining coherence and taking into account the bases of colorimetry and the principles of color management. - Digitally retouch images, taking into account the technical specifications of the subsequent printing or output system. - Adjust the properties of the design computer programs for the subsequent creation of graphic elements so that the result obtained is viable in the different printing systems. - Make illustrations according to the technical and project specifications using vector drawing programs and graphic tablet. - Send the illustrations made to different suppliers or clients using different communication systems and ensuring the quality of the shipment.

He develops his professional activity in graphic design departments in large, medium and small graphic arts companies, publishing houses and communication companies. Likewise, in graphic design studios and in the press, whether periodic or non-periodic. The activity is carried out both on its own account and on behalf of others.

This training conforms to the training itinerary of the Training Module MF0697_3 Creative editing of images and design of graphic elements, certifying having passed the different Units of Competence included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Competencies acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which you will be eligible to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
