And the powers and current functioning of the State Administration: The Civil Protection Law, ministerial orders in relation to emergency plans. - Carry out operations linked to the determination of the catalog of risks in the area of competence, collecting information on disasters that have occurred to facilitate their identification. - Carry out operations linked to the preparation of risk analysis, by competent organizations or experts, to specify the measures, means and resources necessary in the event of a catastrophe. - Compile information from catalogs and risk maps, to predict the consequences of disasters, apply preventive measures and develop civil protection and emergency plans in the area of competence. - Handle cartography, risk maps, geographic information systems and Global Positioning Systems (GPS), in emergencies and/or catastrophes, to facilitate information management.
He develops his professional activity in municipal, supra-municipal, regional, and/or state civil protection and emergency services, as a worker dependent on public administrations, under the supervision of the corresponding Authority, and in coordination with other groups in the development of his work activity, as well as in private entities in the field of civil protection.
