Botany course (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

The understanding of botany becomes essential to appreciate and preserve plant diversity. Similarly, from an agronomic point of view, it is important to know the diversity and physiology of plants to correctly meet the needs of crops. Our botany course addresses basic aspects, such as the characteristics of the plant cell, to more complete concepts such as specialized biotopes. The course is quite focused on the angiospermas taxonomy, where the knowledge of the main families is important. In addition, you will have a multidisciplinary teaching team that will not hesitate to advise you throughout your training process.

- Understand the foundations of botany and its importance in ecology. - Identify the characteristics of the plant cell and their role in the development of plants. - Analyze the diversity of algae, bryophytes and pteridophytes, understanding its structures and functions. - Know the morphology of vascular plants, focusing on roots, stems and leaves. - Differentiate between gymnosperms and angiosperms, as well as understanding their reproductive processes. - Belshing with the main families of Angiospermas and their taxonomy. - Explore plant biotopes, understanding their classifications and interactions between organisms.

You can also allow you to access a position as an environmental advisor, teacher in biology or conservative of botanical gardens.
