Summary
The consumer society in which we are immersed is continuous exposure to various risks for our adolescents. The drug, as one of the stigmas of the society of the 21st century, continually stalks a population that does not have the necessary tools to properly manage their answers to the stimuli of the world around them. The pressure of the peer group, as well as the problems at home with the family can be triggered factors of the development of a substance consumption disorder that leads to even greater problems, whether or not they are psychological. It is necessary, therefore, to provide these minors with the appropriate weapons to deal with a reality that deceives them and catches with disastrous consequences. Making drug use is a difficult task that requires the development of skills that must be trained, both from the family and from the school environment, both agents of primary socialization of minors. Prevention acquires special importance, as the main tool, followed by the intervention in case the first one was not effective.

This course aims to provide the student with technical and theoretical training in the field of drug addiction, directly focusing on the intervention with adolescents who initiate drug use, which can cause the development of disorders derived from substance consumption, if not this same disorder. Students will know the main explanations that are given from psychology to this phenomenon, as well as the criteria to follow to execute a prevention program and the bases of intervention with minors, from various fields.
Who is it addressed to?
Aimed at university degrees in the social and health branch, although especially psychologists or social educators, interested in focusing their professional career to the field of drug addiction. In general, to all those who are interested in learning about intervention with minors in substance consumption.
Official Character
This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
