COURSE IN PEDAGOGY OF DEATH

Death is a natural phenomenon and, as such, is part of our lives. However, its inclusion as a curricular content is very far from being effective, or in the training of students, or in that of teachers. It is an issue that is generally avoided or hidden in different educational contexts. Despite being present and even saturating ourselves on a day -to -day basis from the media, films, literature or losses that an individual has throughout life, death is a taboo in education. From this course in Pedagogy of Death, death is raised as a formative imperative, taking into account death and loss in a conscious way, from a previous or normalizing perspective of the subject.

Among the professional departures of this course in Pedagogy of Death are educational institutions such as public or private schools, as well as secondary schools or educational associations that wish to work on how to treat the duel that students can present at some point, thus attending to their needs.

In this course in Pedagogy of Death, the understanding of the educational possibilities of death and loss is worked by making the grieving process correctly accompanied from the educational field. It is addressed so much from a normalizing didactic perspective in the curriculum of any educational stage, and educational accompaniment when students have some loss or must go through a duel.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
