Course in vaccines (university degree + 6 ECTS credits)

Adequate control over vaccines administration is very important, as well as their actions. It is not enough to vaccinate the population, it is necessary to do well, and know how to correct those situations in which vaccination has not been done as it should. In this course of vaccine specialist the basic concepts are taught, as well as the necessary skills in the update and application of vaccines in the general population. As well as vaccination in special populations such as pregnant women, children and premature babies. The application of the knowledge acquired in this course, are not only of professional utility, but are useful in the personal sphere.

- Identify the basic concepts related to vaccination and administration of vaccines with others and with biological products. - Explain the legal implications of vaccination in relation to the voluntariness and/mandatory of them in certain cases. - Know the appropriate procedure for the transport and conservation of vaccines, as well as the general procedure of the vaccination act. - List and describe the different vaccines that are currently used, related to the childhood as a moment of first application and possibility of subsequent administration in adulthood. - Know the special circumstances for vaccination in adults, international travelers and immigrant population. - Know and apply the official vaccination calendar according to the recommendations of the specialist agencies.

The present Vaccine Specialist course prepares you to know how to apply the knowledge and skills that are acquired with it in the specialization of vaccines and, more specifically, update the knowledge that people have about vaccines, not only with professional but also personal objectives.

This course of vaccine specialist is aimed at people who wish to acquire knowledge and skills for professional reasons or personal interest in specialization in different types of vaccines.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
