Orientation arises from professional and work practice, independent of the educational field. The orientation in Europe has common and differential trends between the different European countries. In the Spanish State, due to the transfer of competencies in educational matters, each autonomous community legislates and establishes actions in guidance and intervention. The concept of orientation has been expanding in recent times until it becomes a professionalized process of continuous and systematic help that includes all people, in all their facets. Orientation professionals must be mediators, familiar with new information and communication technologies.

This course aims to provide professionals with education in training, technical and theoretical training in the field of psychopedagogy. The importance of orientation is evident in the relevance that it has currently acquired in our society, within the framework of learning throughout life. A broad horizon is opened to the orientation, in which an adequate initial formation, and the improvement in this area are essential.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
