Social Workers Course in the gerontological field (university degree + 4 ECTS credits)

Population aging is a problem that affects most countries of the world with unprecedented political, health, economic and social consequences. Developing strategies for the adequate care of the elderly and/or dependence is a priority objective of governments and entities of the third sector in order to offer comprehensive actions and in accordance with the needs of the collective. With the course in the social worker in the gerontological field you can know how the figure of the social work professional is configured as a facilitating element for the improvement of the quality of life of people in a situation of dependence and/or disability.

With the course in social worker in the gerontological field you can integrate into multidisciplinary teams of the social field that work in the design and implementation of comprehensive actions that seek to improve the quality of life of people in a situation of dependence and/or disability under the principles that govern social work.

With the course in social worker in the gerontological field you can expand your skills, skills and skills necessary to know in detail the group of people in a situation of dependence and/or disability and how the social work professional participates in the design, planning and implementation of strategies that seek to improve and promote their quality of life and personal autonomy.

This course is aimed exclusively at diplomas or graduates in Social Work according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
