UF0576 Materials and Viability Study Course in the design of molds and models for casting or forge

In the field of mechanical manufacturing, it is necessary to know the different fields of the design of molds and function or forge models, within the professional area of mechanical production. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge in materials and viability study in the design of molds and models for casting or forge.

- Analyze the physical, chemical, mechanical and technological properties of metal and non -metallic materials, used in molds and models in the foundry processes and procedures for the modification of these properties. - Evaluate the incidence of the design of molds and models in the montability and its adaptation to the standardized tools, riding and dismantling mechanical manufacturing components and complying with the norms of occupational risk and environment prevention. - Determine measuring instruments and supplies for dimensional verification of molds and parts depending on the productive requirements.

It exercises its activity in the specific industrial design area applied in the molds or models of casting, injection or forge. It works autonomously in small -sized companies and in simple projects, in medium or large companies, it depends on higher levels and works from preliminary drafts.

The present training is adjusted to the formative itinerary of the Formative Unit UF0576 Materials and viability study in the design of molds and models for casting or forging, certifying having exceeded the different competition units included in it, and is directed to the accreditation of the accreditation of the Professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training, via which will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the ordering of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences work experience or non -formal training).
