Summary

At present, in the world of physical and sports activities and within the professional area of prevention and recovery, more specifically in the lifeguard in aquatic facilities, it is very important to know the different processes for which they are carried out. Therefore, with this aquatic lifeguard course it is about providing the necessary knowledge to know the prevention and recovery that they intend to obtain knowledge related to the prevention of accidents and the rescue of injured in aquatic facilities and the first aid that must be carried out in these situations.

Goals

After exceeding the aquatic lifeguard course, the following objectives will have been achieved, among others: - Supervise the installation and specific materials, to ensure the correct state according to current regulations. - Use personal material and equipment to prevent occupational risks. - Transmit and enforce the regulations of the installation to the user, to guarantee coexistence and security, applying effective communication techniques. - Perform the preventive training that allows to maintain the optimal physical and technical conditions of the lifeguard. - Monitor the designated area systematically, to anticipate the accident or emergency situation acting accordingly. - Analyze the conditions of the situation, to decide the intervention to be carried out according to the established emergency plans. - Place the action, approach, control and towing of the victim according to the situation of the environment, of the injured and of itself. - Extract the injured based on the estimation of its characteristics and the environmental conditions present.

Professional opportunities

Functions of prevention, surveillance and rescue in centers of aquatic activity such as conventional pools, aquatic parks. It performs these functions in tourism companies such as hotels or camping, as well as in leisure companies.

Official Character

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD).
