Emergency techniques course in the severe child (university degree + 8 ECTS credits)

The course in emergency techniques in the severe child is a specialized training where you will learn to address critical situations in children with serious health problems, it will also provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge for rapid evaluation and efficient management of pediatric patients in emergency situations. The formation is structured in different didactic units that cover from the introduction to the emergencies in the severe child to the management of cases of polytrauma. You will also learn to make accurate and fast decisions in the emergency situations in pediatric patients. Throughout the training you will have at your disposal with a multidisciplinary teaching team with extensive experience in this field.

- Acquire fundamental knowledge about evaluation techniques in emergency situations in the severe child. - Develop skills for the initial management of pediatric patients with non -sustainable airway. - Learn to evaluate and address cases of acute respiratory failure in children. - Understand the main symptoms and treatments for the dysfunction of the central nervous system. - Study about the recognition and initial management of shock in children. - Incorporate knowledge for the evaluation and care of polytraumatized pediatric patients.

The professional exits of this course in emergency techniques in the severe child are those of pediatric emergency specialist in hospitals, clinics and primary care centers, doctor or nurse in pediatric intensive care units, participation in rescue and emergencies and teaching equipment and research in the field of pediatric medicine.

This course is aimed exclusively at health personnel according to Law 44/2003, of November 21, on the ordination of health professions.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University and PhD master). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
