MF2064-2 course training and environmental enrichment in wild animals

In the agricultural field, it is necessary to know the different fields of the care of wild animals, zoos and aquariums, within the professional area of livestock. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for environmental training and enrichment in wild animals.

- Prepare and define environmental enrichment programs so that it improves animal welfare. - Describe enrichment programs from the zoological collection of a center by adjusting to each animal species. - Describe the quantity, type and location of enrichment elements according to social characteristics of species and that improve their performance. - Analyze material resources defined in enrichment programs. - Apply enrichment programs that improve animal management and well -being, following established procedures for each species. - List useful and enrichment elements by selecting the appropriate ones according to the behavioral characteristics of each species. - Point out possible deficiencies of the enrichment elements that may cause animals in animals. - Explain established protocols for the cleanliness and disinfection of enrichment elements that avoid health risks to animals. - Describe modifications in the use of enrichment programs that improve their quality and performance. - Apply routine management techniques of wild animals that facilitate their care and well -being following protocols and regulations for the prevention of occupational hazards. - Explain routine action protocols for the management of wild animals that allow their habituation to their caregiver to facilitate supervision, surveillance and care. - Identify the dangers involved in the management of animals of certain species with which all direct physical contact with animals or their secretions should be avoided. - specify frequency of application of management methods according to species and concrete condition of the animal. - Appoint types of behavior likely to be reinforced to improve animals monitoring and control. - Analyze animal behavior, indicating parameters that allow to assess the desensitization obtained, indicating possible improvement measures. - Identify concrete situations that force modifications to animal management techniques. - Apply operating conditioning techniques that facilitate the management and veterinary care of wild animals following protocols and occupational risk prevention standards. - Describe protocols for the application of operating conditioning techniques that must be used according to species so that more efficiency, safety and welfare of animals are obtained. - Specify types of exercises that allow facilitating veterinary care. - Explain animal training methods following operant conditioning techniques. - Describe training techniques that avoid the stress of the animal during handling.

It develops their professional activity in small, medium and large companies, public or private and NGOs (non -governmental organizations), which are in care wild animals, developing their activity on their own, in zoological parks, recovery centers and rescue of fauna, aquariums and other zoological nuclei, depending on the superior responsible.

This training is adjusted to the itinerary of the MF2064_2 Training and Environmental Enrichment in Wild Animals, certifying having overcome the different units of competences included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and the non -formal training, via which you will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls Publishing the different autonomous communities, asó as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the agrarian world, specifically in environmental training and enrichment in wild animals, within the professional area of livestock, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge of environmental enrichment in wild animals, as well as their training.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
