UF2481 Course Handling, Preparation and Distribution of Foods

In the field of the world of Agrarian, it is necessary to know the different fields of wild animals, zoos and aquariums, within the professional area of livestock. Thus, with this course it is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the feeding of wild animals, more specifically for the manipulation, preparation and distribution of food.

- Apply food handling techniques according to their ways of presentation so that hygiene and food safety are guaranteed. - Apply food preparation techniques and drink of wild animals by adjusting the food cast depending on the physiological requirements of each species and individual. - Specify possible incidents in the feeding of animals indicating forms of registration and corrective measures.

He develops his professional activity in small, medium and large companies, careful wild animals, developing their professional activity on their own, in zoos, recovery and rescue centers of fauna, aquariums and other zoological nuclei, depending on the superior responsible.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the Food UF2481 Handling, preparation and distribution, certifying having overcome the different competence units included, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and non -formal training, via which you will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective calls The different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of Agrarian, more specifically those linked to the care of wild animals, zoos and aquariums, within the professional area of livestock, and to all those people interested in acquiring related knowledge to control facilities and enclosures for wild animals, of aquarium zoos, applying safety measures, cleaning and/or disinfection systems associated with enclosures and animal species of risks and assist the optional person in the clinical exercise, in the exploration, care and feeding of animals, carrying out environmental training and enrichment, immobilization and management of animals by physical means, following criteria of animal welfare.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
