EDUCATOR MONITOR COURSE OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES (DOUBLE TITLE WITH 5 ECTS CREDITS)

This course as a monitor of people with disabilities offers specialized training in the field. Social and educational institutions should not forget their socializing function and their goal of achieving the integral development of the person. That is why sociocultural animation is emerging as a methodology to favor personal motivation and enrichment, and more in the field of needs in people with discussion.

- Participate in the design of socio-cultural activities, the campaigns to promote activities, the coordination of work and supervision of the activities carried out. - Acquire all knowledge, procedures and attitudes to work as a sociocultural monitor-aimer. - Identify the criteria for the delimitation of support required by people with disabilities in leisure and free time, valuing their intensity and characteristics based on the recipients. - Prepare interventions for integration of people with disabilities in leisure and free time recognizing the functions of each member of the interdisciplinary team, understanding this as a backbone of the entire intervention. - Apply criteria for analysis and search for leisure and free time resources in the community environment, taking into account its characteristics based on the needs of people with disabilities. - Analyze and organize training and strategies for the effective use of leisure and free time resources, by the person with disabilities. - Establish the way of promoting healthy and healthy affective-sexual behaviors in leisure and free time spaces, contributing to the full personal and social development of people with disabilities. - Establish training programs in basic cognitive strategies and technological literacy based on the consideration of the needs of the recipients, recognizing and explaining how to perform it as an interdisciplinary team.

It develops its professional activity on behalf of others in the public and private sphere, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team where, in the areas of design, execution and evaluation of socio -educational intervention projects, development of accompaniment, leisure and free time actions, and in collaboration with higher level professionals, in training in basic cognitive strategies, technological literacy, and intervention actions with families, which have as its purpose the promotion of personal autonomy and the social inclusion of people with disabilities.

The present course of monitor/a of people with disabilities is aimed at all those teachers of Infant Education, Primary Education, secondary education teachers, psychologists, pedagogues, psychopedagogues, etc. and, in general, any university degree or person interested in performing their professional work in as educator monitor of people with disabilities.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
