Sports Activity Monitor Course for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (double degree with 5 ECTS credits)

Leisure education should be introduced in daily practice, therefore, this course of sports activities monitor for people with intellectual disabilities wants to offer professionals the fundamental technical and procedural tools to design and carry out socio -educational intervention projects in this area, in addition to specializing in sports monitoring adapted to people with intellectual disabilities.

Perform this course of activities for people with intellectual disabilities with which you can achieve the following objectives: - Provide different tools for the development of leisure activities and free time: socio -cultural, sports and outdoor activities attending to the environment in which they are projected, urban and in nature. - Know the methodology that underlies the planning and application of the different activities to be programmed, especially working the definition of specific objectives, the coordination and organization of work and the supervision of activities. - Know the functions and main characteristics that define the profile of the leisure and free time monitor and recognize the influence of leisure and free time activities in the educational field. - Apply procedures for the management of facilities, open and closed spaces, natural environment, media and materials with activities, games, sports with and without adaptations for users with intellectual disabilities. - To specify the resources of intervention and physical-sports animation activities, established in a reference program, for users with intellectual disabilities, adapting them to their needs, typology and the available means, based on the data and information obtained, following the procedures established within an interdisciplinary team. - Apply management techniques and revitalization techniques and sports initiation for users with intellectual disabilities, correcting the deviations detected with respect to the operational programming of each session, to achieve a maximum adaptation of the activities programmed within optimal parameters of safety and risk prevention. -Perform the periodic and final evaluation of physical-sports and recreational activities and events for users with intellectual disabilities, applying techniques of obtaining, treatment, processing and registration of the information obtained and establishing the necessary feedback that allows to improve future projects of physical-sports and recreational animation for users with intellectual disability.

The Sports Activity Monitor course for people with intellectual disabilities is aimed at professionals in the world of physical and sports activities, specifically in physical-sports and recreational animation for people with disabilities and all those interested in energizing activities for users with intellectual disabilities.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
