- Know the history of Social Work as a professional discipline - Identify the dominant currents in the construction of Social Work as a discipline. - Become aware of the importance of the work of the Social Worker in their multiple fields of intervention and in the field of dependency specifically. - Learn to value the concepts of dependency and disability. - Know the bases on which it is based and the principles of action of the Dependency Law, as well as the system of care for dependency and improvement of autonomy that it configures. - Identify the basic needs of people in a situation of dependency at different stages of life. - Understand the basic structure of the blocks on which the benefits and services to people in a situation of dependency are based. - Consider the different forms of intervention with people in a situation of dependency in order to provide the most appropriate aid depending on the characteristics of the person.
