Objectives
- Analyze and describe the composition and fusion processes of glass products, relating the input and output products, with the techniques used in them, the operational phases, the work procedures, the means and facilities used, the process variables and the parameters that must be controlled. - Identify and characterize the raw materials, glass core and output products of the glass fusion process. - Analyze the equipment and facilities for dosing and melting glass, relating their characteristics and performance to their function in the process, and describe their constitution and operation. - Melt glass masses of established compositions following technical instructions. - Identify and describe the risks derived from the unloading operations and storage of materials, the preparation of the mixture and the fusion of glass products, and indicate the preventive measures that must be adopted. - Analyze and describe the processes of forming glass products, relating the input and output products, with the techniques used in them, the operational phases, the work procedures, the means and facilities used, the process variables and the parameters that must be controlled. - Analyze the equipment and facilities for forming molten glass masses, relating their characteristics and performance to their function in the process, and describe their constitution and operation. - Prepare shaped products from molten glass masses following technical instructions. - Identify and describe the risks derived from the unloading and storage operations of materials and the formation of glass products, and indicate the preventive measures that must be adopted.
