- Apply training techniques to guide dogs to assist people with visual disabilities, in a controlled work environment, in guiding skills and taking into account danger prevention, risk identification and animal welfare - Confirm in real environments the consolidated behavior in controlled environments, to meet the objectives set in the work program, taking into account danger prevention, risk identification and animal welfare. - Carry out and evaluate a program linking the visually impaired unit and guide dog, taking into account danger prevention, risk identification and animal welfare.
He carries out his professional activity both on his own and as an employee, in the field of entities related to the training of assistance dogs. Its activity, in general, is carried out autonomously under the supervision of a hierarchical superior person. In the development of professional activity, the principles of universal accessibility are applied in accordance with current legislation.
This training is in accordance with the training itinerary of the Training Unit UF2690 Training of guide dogs and bonding with people with visual disabilities, belonging to the Training Module MF2017_3 Training and bonding techniques applied to guide dogs, certifying having passed the different Competence Units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the Professional Skills acquired through work experience and non-formal training, through which it will opt to obtain the corresponding Certificate of Professionalism, through the respective calls published by the different Autonomous Communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the organization of the Vocational Training System and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional skills acquired through work experience or non-formal training).
