This course in educational attention in people with mental disabilities and comprehensive accompaniment in functional diversity oriented to families offers specialized training in the field. Comprehensive care to students that presents special educational needs is important for maximum personal, intellectual, social and emotional development, it must be intervened when the need is identified. With this course in educational attention in people with mental disabilities and comprehensive accompaniment in functional diversity oriented to families, the necessary means will be available for the elaboration of teaching materials that meet the different special needs of students and for the attention to families with children with disabilities.

- Identify the characteristics of the families of people with disabilities that should be considered. - Analyze processes for the promotion of the personal autonomy of the person with disabilities in their family promoting the full development of their abilities, independence and normalization. - Analyze orientation and support actions to families of people with disabilities in situations of emotional stress or punctual problem derived from this situation, relating them to interdisciplinary team intervention. - Propose and analyze mediation actions to respond to possible needs and difficulties between the person with disabilities and their family, at the communication level. - Identify community resources for families of people with disabilities that improve the quality of life of its members. - Learn the definition, etiology and classification of mental disability. - Know the psychoevolutive development of people with mental disabilities. - Development of communication and language in people with mental disabilities. - Identify the special educational needs of people with disabilities. - Evaluation of the special educational needs of people with disabilities.

This course in educational care in people with mental disabilities and comprehensive accompaniment in functional diversity oriented to families is aimed at professionals in the world of psychology, education, social work, and in general to all professionals belonging to sociocultural services and the community, specifically in socio -educational promotion and intervention with people with disabilities.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
