The appropriate diet to enjoy good health is the result of the application of basic knowledge that demonstrates the links between the intake of certain foods with some pathologies, such as cardiovascular diseases, arteriosclerosis, obesity, diabetes ... etc. With these competencies in dietary and nutrition, applied to the third age that the student will receive in this course, he will be able to direct his professional future towards work in dietary consultations, nutrition franchises, diets elaboration equipment in hospitals, residences of the third age, etc.

Work as an assistant of dietitian-nutritionist in medical offices, in the elaboration of balanced menus in geriatric residences, hotel complexes, school canteens, etc.

This course in dietary and nutrition in the elderly is aimed at healthcare professionals who work in dietary and nutrition and care services for older people, especially senior residences, or who intend to specialize in said group.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
