Through the course, it is about instilling values to the student for the performance of the police profession such as rationality, adaptation, congruence and proportionality in the use of personal defense techniques and tools.

The objectives of the course are to teach the student about the basic fundamentals of security in police work, raise awareness about the legitimate use of defense, that the student learns the techniques of police personal defense and that expand knowledge and skills regarding the use of the extendable police cane. The course deepens the use of one of the personal defense tools, the extensible police cane that, like any weapon, attends to legal restrictions and is used in the face of aggressions in which the use of the firearm has no justification.

The course prepares the student in a rational way to know the rights and duties of the police, learning to face the different situations in which it can be seen involved and is forced to use personal defense techniques and methods.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
