MF1391-3 Course Evaluation of damages and definition of proposals for restoration of works in natural stone

In the field of extractive industries, it is necessary to know the different fields of the development and supervision of natural stone restoration works, within the Professional Piedra Natural area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge for the evaluation of damages and definition of proposals for restoration of natural stone works.

- Identify the main types of stones and their most frequent alterations, recognizing them visually and recognizing the causes and consequences of alterations. - Identify the historical use of stone, as well as the main theories and restoration criteria. - Prepare damage reports to define existing damage. - Differentiate restoration techniques applicable to different damage to natural stone, characterizing them and relating them to the material and human resources necessary for their application. - Prepare restoration proposals to define appropriate intervention techniques.

He develops his professional activity as an autonomous or as a worker on behalf of public or private companies, of generally small and medium size, dedicated to the rehabilitation or restoration of works in natural stone, or integrated into building and civil works companies.

This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF1391_3 Training Module Damage Evaluation and definition of proposals for the restoration of natural stone works, certifying having overcome the different competition units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through the work experience and non -formal training, via which it will choose to obtain the corresponding certificate of professionalism. Calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at professionals in the world of extractive industries, specifically in development and supervision of natural stone restoration works within the Professional Piedra Natural Area, and to all those interested in acquiring knowledge related to the evaluation of damages and definition of proposals for restoration of works in natural stone.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
