MF1504_2 COURSE Custom and Orthopedic Footwear Preparation Techniques

In the textile, preparation and skin field, it is necessary to know the different custom and orthopedic footwear manufacturing fields, within the Textile and Leather Preparation area. Thus, this course is intended to provide the necessary knowledge to make custom and orthopedic footwear.

- Explain the different processes manufacture of fashionable footwear depending on the technical, aesthetic, comfort and quality conditions. - Differentiate the processes manufacture of footwear and orthopedic elements based on the health requirements and therapeutic objectives, in order to guarantee their comfort, aesthetics and quality according to the optional prescription and instructions of the technical person responsible. - Put the basic machines and tools used in the cut, sewn, appeared, mounted and finish of the fashionable and orthopedic footwear for its correct operation, performing first level maintenance. - Apply techniques for the preparation and cut of skin and textile materials, necessary for the manufacture of custom and orthopedic footwear, with safety criteria. - Apply assembly or apparate techniques of fashionable and orthopedic footwear components using glue, hand and machine seams with quality and safety. - Apply mounted techniques of different types of fashionable and orthopedic footwear according to model and pattern with the quality provided for in the technical file - Apply finishing techniques of different types of custom footwear, as well as orthopedic, according to model, therapeutic purposes and optional prescription with the quality concerted for its presentation and delivery. - Explain the preventive measures that can be facilitated in custom and orthopedic footwear manufacturing processes to avoid postural risks, repetitive movements or luminosity problems.

It develops its professional activity in large, medium and small businesses, both on behalf of others and autonomously, dedicated to the production and industrialization of patterns and climbing, leather goods and garrison. This training adjusts to the training itinerary of the MF1504_2 training module Techniques of custom footwear and orthopedic, certifying having overcome the different competition units included in it, and is aimed at the accreditation of the professional competences acquired through work experience and non -formal training, via which will opt for obtaining the corresponding certificate of professionalism, through the respective Calls that are publishing the different autonomous communities, as well as the Ministry of Labor itself (Royal Decree 659/2023, of July 18, which develops the management of the professional training system and establishes a permanent procedure for the accreditation of professional competences acquired by work experience or non -formal training).

This course is aimed at the professionals of the world of textile, clothing and skin, specifically in manufacture of custom and orthopedic footwear, within the professional area clothing in textiles and skin, and to all those people interested in acquiring knowledge necessary to make custom and orthopedic footwear.

This training is not included in the scope of official regulated training (Infant Education, Primary Education, Secondary Education, Official Professional Training FP, Baccalaureate, University Degree, Official University Master and PhD). It is therefore a complementary and/or specialization training, aimed at acquiring certain skills, skills or aptitudes of a professional nature, being able to be barely as merit in workbags and/or opposition competitions, always within the complementary training section and/or continuous training being always essential to review the specific requirements of the public labor stock of the public labor stock market.
