- Describe the characteristics of telephone equipment to identify the services supported by them. - Describe the hierarchical and functional structure of telephone networks, depending on the scope and communications infrastructure used. - Describe and explain the characteristics, elements and services that a telephone system can provide according to existing technologies in the market. - Describe signaling functions in telephone networks, according to existing standard standards and systems. - List the types of switching subsystems and explain their operation, to identify the supports of the services to be implemented. - Explain the technologies involved in the provision of telephone services based on the communications infrastructure to be used. - Cite the criteria used in the selection of a telephone system from functional specifications for the provision of services. - Install telephone services in the telephone system equipment. - Interpret a scheme of a telephone system, identifying the elements that integrate it according to existing technologies and media. - Describe the procedures to incorporate new telephone services into an existing system. - Install telephony services in a telephone equipment, interpreting the technical documentation of the equipment and verifying compliance with the requirements prior to the installation. - Install and connect the required modules using specific tools and following the instructions indicated in the corresponding technical documentation. - Perform tests to verify that the installed devices work according to the specifications. - Record in the documentation of the equipment the extensions made. - Apply the configuration and maintenance procedures of telephone services according to technical specifications. - Explain the procedures for the configuration of services identifying their operational parameters. - Distinguish the parameters used in telephone services to carry out the processes of tarification of the use of such services, according to given specifications. - Perform the verification of the configuration of the services and verify possible interactions and incompatibilities, following some given specifications. - Configure a new telephone service.
